Single Origin: Ethiopia Guji Natural

Organic

This exceptional coffee hails from the Guji zone, known for its unique microclimate and rich soil that cultivates beans with remarkable character. The natural drying process enhances the coffee’s inherent sweetness, resulting in a cup brimming with bold, fruity flavors.

From the first sip, you'll be enveloped in luscious notes of ripe jam—think of a blend of berry and stone fruit preserves that dance on your palate. This is beautifully balanced by a refreshing hint of kiwi, adding a zesty, tropical twist to the flavor profile. The result is a coffee that is both vibrant and complex, with a silky body and a lingering, fruity finish. Ideal for those who appreciate a coffee with a distinctive, juicy character and a touch of exotic flair.

Kayon Mountain Farm, covering 500 hectares with 300 hectares planted in coffee, is situated in the Guji zone of Ethiopia, spanning the villages of Taro and Sewana. Owned and operated by Ismael Hassen Aredo and his family since 2012, the farm supports a workforce of 25 permanent and 300 seasonal employees. To compete with nearby mining operations for labor, the farm offers higher wages and contributes to the community through free transportation and funding for local schools and administrative buildings.

The farm emphasizes sustainability by using shade trees, such as acacia and other indigenous species, to protect the coffee and enhance soil health through composting. Kayon Mountain Farm produces both Natural and Washed coffee lots, showcasing Ismael’s dedication to meticulous farm management and high-quality processing practices.
